Who is the true and living God? What do we know about him and his character?
Is Jesus really God’s only begotten Son? Is Jesus coequal with God?
Who or what is the Holy Spirit? Is it coequal with God and Jesus?
The FREE 31-page booklet Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit presents the Bible’s answer to these questions.
The Scriptures explain there is only one God. His name in Hebrew is Yahweh meaning
“I will become whatsoever I please.” (Exod. 3:14
Rotherham) God has always existed and will always exist. (Ps. 90:2) “But to us there is but
one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him.”—1 Cor. 8:6
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:16) He was the first of God’s creation
and was present with God during the creation of the heavens and the earth. (Prov.
8:22-31 NIV) Together, they created
man in
their image. (Gen. 1:26) “…
and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”—1 Cor. 8:6
Translated from the Greek word pneuma,
the Holy Spirit is the invisible power of God that works in a number of ways. It
is the power of God that moved upon the waters to prepare the earth for life. (Gen.
1:2) It is the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ in
our hearts that identifies
us as follower of Christ. (Rom.8:9) It is the Spirit of truth that reveals to us “the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”—1 Cor. 2:9
